When I was pregnant with my daughter I knew I wanted to use cloth nappies. I’m an environmentalist at heart and I was also frightened of some of the health concerns regarding disposable nappies. Making fitted nappies seemed much more advantageous than using terry flats. I started experimenting with all types of styles and fabrics.

My neighbour asked me to make some for her sons, as she was sick of washing sheets and pyjamas everyday from leaking disposables. After the success of those nappies and a heap of custom orders for friends and family I set myself a challenge to make the most practical, user-friendly nappy possible. Result: The Mandy Mac Hemp Onesize.

I decided to outsource production, as by this stage baby number two had arrived and I wanted to spend quality time with my family. A big thanks goes to my husband, our children (testers extraordinaire), our Hong Kong based agent Mrs Law, and our customers for their support.
